Waow is a network that brings local merchants and consumers together. Business owners reward their customers for local and loyal shopping within our network, leading to more sales, store visits and a stronger local economy.
In turn, customers who pay through the green Waow terminal can count on a 2% direct discount at the local merchant.

 

How does Waow work?


The principle of Waow is simple: a customer pays with his or her regular bank card at one of the 600 affiliated local merchants via a recognizable green Waow terminal. During the payment, he or she gets the chance to join the Waow network once, as 150,000 others already did.

From then on, the customer immediately receives a 2% discount on every purchase from affiliated merchants.

The biggest benefit for the customer? The instant discount of at least 2% when they pay via the green Waow terminal. Consumers no longer have to save up for future benefits, but see results in their wallets immediately.

Moreover, Waow works without mandatory apps, stamp or loyalty cards. The customer's regular bank card is effortlessly transformed into a Waow loyalty card.
 
Discounts are valid at all member merchants, so customers no longer have to show their loyalty at just one merchant.

... and for the merchant!

Waow eliminates the high cost of traditional loyalty systems. Through our extensive network of local merchants, we can reward customers for their loyalty and local buying habits, leading to more visitors, higher sales and additional revenue.

In addition, we take the administrative hassle completely out of your hands. The merchant only receives a clear report with all necessary documents, ready to be processed in the accounting system.

Benefits for investors

On January 1, 2024, Waow officially launched after a successful pilot phase. Our network now consists of 600 local merchants and has transformed more than 150,000 consumers into loyal customers.

In addition, parent company MPS has been granted official status as a licensed payment institution by the National Bank of Belgium. This license, obtained after a thorough evaluation and audit, opens the doors to further expansion within the European Economic and Monetary Union - an important milestone in Waow & MPS' growth trajectory.

This places MPS among a select group of companies with this license. It is the result of an intensive process that has significantly increased trust and credibility within the industry.

Funding needs


Waow has a financing requirement of 3.5 million euros over the next 24 months, of which 900,000 euros has already been contributed by current shareholders. The funding will be used to support expansion into various European markets and to further strengthen the technological infrastructure. 

The investments are divided between Benelux - falling under Waow- (€839K, 24%), France (€453K, 13%), Germany (€813K, 22%), Italy (€760K, 21%), and IT investments (€720K, 20%) - intended for MPS. Thus, a total of €2.8 million (80%) will be spent on Waow and €0.7 million (20%) to MPS.
