Launch Career has decided to extend its campaign until 30 April 2025 (instead of 10 March 2025).

Market size:

Employers: Belgium has 1,000,000 companies, of which approximately 20,000 with more than 20 employees, which fall within the primary target group. LAUNCH focuses on companies that need highly educated profiles, which accounts for about 10,000 companies in Belgium. Additionally, a key market includes many small companies/startups with fewer than 20 employees seeking talent, for which LAUNCH is the ideal digital campus recruitment partner. LAUNCH needs 200 paying companies to break even (currently over 50 customers): profitability increases rapidly with more customers due to high scalability (the aim is to reach 1,000 customers within 5 years).

Talent: LAUNCH targets students and young professionals in Belgium who are actively seeking (new) career opportunities. The total addressable market consists of 235,000 students and 170,000 young professionals (0-5 years of experience) considering an early career move. In total, the market LAUNCH serves is estimated at 405,000 young talents.

With broad access to both companies and young talent, LAUNCH positions itself as an attractive platform for both groups.

Main competitors:

Jobteaser: This French platform operates through schools as a career center and is particularly well-known in Wallonia. However, students rarely use it. LAUNCH is independent of Belgian schools and operates throughout Belgium and Luxembourg.

We Fynd: Focuses on specific regions in Flanders and sells access to entire student databases. At LAUNCH, students retain control over their own data, ensuring a competitive edge in terms of privacy and trust. Additionally, LAUNCH already has a significant lead in the number of connected companies and talents, as well as a more developed campus team and account management.

Dibbs and smaller initiatives: These platforms attract students with student jobs or discounts, making them less suitable for students focused on their professional development. LAUNCH, on the other hand, targets students seeking internships, full-time jobs, and career events.

Indirect competitors include companies or platforms that provide some form of career or job-related services that could potentially attract a similar target audience (students and young professionals). Traditional job boards such as LinkedIn or Indeed also list job openings across various industries, including entry-level positions suitable for students and recent graduates. While they do not specifically focus on campus recruitment, they are still competing for the attention of students seeking job opportunities. On the other hand, employer branding or recruitment marketing solutions, such as Glassdoor, focus on helping companies improve their employer brand and attract talent through various marketing techniques, which could also be considered as indirect competition for LAUNCH.
